And it happened again tonight: an investigation being conducted at the Mate Yehuda station of the Jerusalem Police led tonight to an activity to thwart the theft of a truck.

The soldiers and detectives of the Jerusalem Police carried out a proactive police checkpoint in the area of ​​the Elah intersection near the city of Beit Shemesh. The suspect who was driving a truck stolen from Be'er Sheva did not respond to the soldiers' calls to stop, breached the roadblock while driving, endangering the lives of the soldiers.

The MGB detectives began chasing the truck in an attempt to stop the driver and pull him off the road so that he would not pose a danger to road users. During the chase, the truck driver tried to hit the car the detectives were traveling in.

The detectives fired accurately at the wheels of the truck, causing it to stop, and arrested the suspect who was driving the stolen truck.

The suspect who drove the truck, an illegal resident, a resident of the Judea and Samaria territories at the age of 30, was taken for questioning at the Yehuda Base Station of the Jerusalem Police.
