MDA drivers - 'Rescue Team' were called to Talmud Yerushalmi Street in the Ramat Beit Shemesh D neighborhood following a report of a car accident.

Rescue Team volunteers Rafael Toledano and Shmuel Arieli add: "When we arrived at the scene with an MDA ambulance that we were manning, we saw a pedestrian, a 5-year-old boy, unconscious with injuries to his head and limbs after being hit by a private vehicle.

"Together with other MDA paramedics and medics and a rescue team, we provided him with initial medical aid, including immobilization and dressings, and evacuated him to be connected to an MDA intensive care unit, which evacuated him in serious and unstable condition for further treatment in the trauma room at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital."
