Initial report in 'Beit Shemesh News':

The Head of the Education Administration, Mr. Kobi Amar, announced this evening to Mayor Dr. Aliza Bloch that he is ending his position in the Education Administration.

Omar, who was elected to his position on June 1, 2020, held the position until this evening 'unofficially' when he held a supervisory position at the Ministry of Education, and when he asked them (as a member of the board) to allow him to serve in his position at the municipality, the ministry did not allow him to do so.

Therefore, since taking office, he has officially worked without pay!!

This evening he informed the mayor that he was ending his position and would soon return to his position at the Ministry of Education.

We learned that he will continue in the education administration until a suitable replacement is found.

We would like to remind our readers that Amar is the third in this position since the mayor took office as mayor of Beit Shemesh.

The first to end the position was Mr. Yohanan Kirshenbaum, after whom Mr. Maoz Bigon was appointed. After he resigned, Amar took over the position and has now announced his termination.
