A huge fire is raging in Tzur Hadassah, the smoke from the fire moved with the wind towards Beit Shemesh and later the wind blew the smoke towards the city of Beitar Illit. Firefighters are on the scene.


Fire and Rescue Spokespersons for Israel: Starting this morning, many teams from the Beit Shemesh station, Jerusalem and other districts have been working to extinguish a forest fire near the settlement of Tzur Hadassah. The fire is about fifty dunams in size and is approaching the houses of the Karkum and Rechsim neighborhoods. About sixteen teams are working on the scene, as well as six firefighting aircraft and aerial contract vehicles.


The fire is currently out of control.
